Building Construction Students Demonstrate Outstanding Practical Skills
Students of the Building Construction Technology Department at Jesus Mission College recently showcased impressive practical skills during a hands-on construction exercise organized as part of their academic training.
As part of their practical assessment, students were assigned to plan and construct structural models under the supervision of their instructors. The exercise allowed learners to apply classroom knowledge in real construction activities, including measurement, block laying, alignment, and finishing techniques.
The students performed exceptionally well, demonstrating confidence, teamwork, and technical understanding in every stage of the project. Their ability to transform theoretical lessons into practical outcomes reflects the college’s commitment to skill-based education and industry readiness.
This practical exercise forms part of the institution’s TVET approach, where students are trained not only to pass examinations but also to acquire employable skills that meet real industry standards.
